"Jen's peanut brittle is absolutely fantastic--and I've got a hard palate to impress when it comes to dessert. I would have devoured the entire batch in one sitting if not for the fact that I would have hated waking up the next day without any leftovers to look forward to! Her double-mint brownies are also to-die-for. But please don't die, becuase there's no guarantee that her goodies are available in heaven...'"

"Your [chocolate caramel] cake was awesome!  Everyone loved it including AR who doesn't have a sweet tooth.  Nikki was at her boyfriend's yesterday and made a special trip home to grab three pieces for his family.  She took every last morsel yelling 'It was MY cake!'"
--Diana Russo, 4/26/05

"I LOVED the [flourless chocolate] cake you made for the Fellows' Tea"
--Erin McCarthy, 3/1/05

"Chocolate coconut pecan pie...oh my! A sweet and satisfying pecan filling with an ample amount of rich chocolate, perfectly and unexpectedly complemented by a wisp of coconut. This is the ultimate pecan pie...a true accomplishment!"
--Nick Turke-Brown, 12/20/04

"The mint chocolate brownies were excellent. Merlin wanted one. Of course, Merlin is not a discerning customer, and will eat leaves, bones or other such items. I, however, am a gourmand of some repute, weary from a lifetime of bushwhacking through the dense underbrush of sweets that flood our culture. These mint brownies stand out as beacons in this fog -- rich, no-holds-barred squares of hedonistic escape. Quarrying the depths of their flavour, the confluence of sensation and the sheer potency of their aggressive taste is an exercise in fulfilment not easily forgotten. Reasonably priced, too. "

"Your pumpkin cheesecake is SOOOOOOOOOOO good. Aisha and I both enjoyed our own pieces and are huge fans of your baked goods."
--Laura Krueger & Aisha Sarkar, 11/9/04

"gingerbread back home (in england) is harder and more biscuity, so this was more like what i'd call a gingerbread cake or maybe loaf. and in this respect it was good, very good in fact; light and moist, not too friable and with the excellent idea of sliced apple on top, which complemented the loaf most happily. in fact, i'd even like just a little more ginger to emphasise the two tastes. but basically a really nice piece of work. thanks jen. "

"Oh... my... gosh. My two favorite desserts are key lime pie and cheesecake. Your combination of the two into a key lime cheesecake was awesome. I ate way too much and would do it again. Thanks!"

"Don't listen to all the positive reviews here--all lies!! Through childhood and most of my adult life, I could rely on the cheap, quick fix of Twinkies and Chip's Ahoy cookies for my baked-goods hankerings. Now, after trying the "harder stuff" that Jen's been pushing, there's no turning back. Thoughts of key lime continually occupy my brain and threaten my ability to function in society. She smiles with delight as you are hopelessly lured down the path of ruin. The first one is always free, but be warned! Run! Run away!"
--Andy Leber, 8/23/04

"I just had Jen's keylime cheese cake and I have to say, it is the best keylime cheese cake I've ever had. I had given up on keylime cheese cakes because the ones I had before were either too sour or too dry. But Jen's cake was just perfect. Hope you all get a chance to taste it.

Thanks Jen!!"

"It all looks delicious"

"Jen made a blueberry lime tart for us, and it was by far the most tripped out desert ive ever tasted, or seen. but it was very very good. yay birthdays in august means more deserts...."
--Dave Widders, 7/29/04

"Jen's pies always bring me to the Challenge of expressing your senses in your second language. For that juicy, fresh, heavenly Key Lime Pie (I'm drooling just by saying that), there's just one expression, internationally spoken, the long and amazed 'Ahhhhhhhhhh...........................'."
--Soojin Park, 6/30/04

"...your website with all the pastries looks heavenly. They all look professionally made. I'm drooling..."
--Sharon Ma, 6/29/04

"...that angel food cake was one of the best i've ever had--so light in texture, with a delicate and playful sweetness applied with proper restraint. three cheers for jen! :))"

"Jenn is a baking Goddess! For my birthday party she made a raspberry chocolate layer cake that had a whole room moaning. Few women have such power over a room ;)"
--Lauren Levy, 6/28/04

"...as you know, it's all about the chocolate chip cookies. Perhaps, though, you should have a tasting party or two... ah, I could go for some nice baked goodies right about now..."
--James Troy, 6/28/04

"Jen's treats are THE BEST!!! Her Elaine's Chocolate Cake is the ultimate in rich smooth chocolate flavor. Her German Chocolate cake is superb, I can't wait until the next family function to get a sample of the next mouth-watering masterpiece she creates."
--Lucy DiMase, 6/27/04

"although ALL of jen's desserts are amazing, her pies are my favorite. she's worked out a crust recipe that manages to please everyone (just the right combination of flaky, buttery, and crispy!), and the inside is always the essence of what that fruit was meant to be (brought out with not-too-much sugar and spices). definitely a better baker than my mom, and i never thought i'd say that of anyone!"

"Oreo Cheesecake:

A splendid combination of some of my favorite edible items - chocolate, strawberry, Oreo, whipped cream, and (who can forget) cake. Not to mention that it was piece de resistance at my 26th birthday. The poor princess who exclaimed, "Let them eat cake!" clearly did not have before her this glorious concoction. Had she, the infamous phrase might never have passed her lips.

Moist, but not too moist -- really, the perfect level of moistness... if you will. Yummy down to the last morsel, leaving the once proud dessert-eater to lick his plate in the most slovenly manner imaginable. And if the chocolate and cheese weren't enough, the Oreo truly inspires. Spiring from atop lofty crests of whipped cream, the delectable sweetened treats all but scream out to the diner "eat me, consume me, twist off my top and exhume me!"

Plate polished and bare, one is hard-pressed to think of anything but the devouring of the cake's remains. Alas, I'd bet my best goat that there wouldn't be so much as a sliver leftover."

"Jen brought this [strawberry rhubarb] pie to my Memorial Day cookout. It was SUPERB! Chris gave everyone specific directions on how to savor the crust as to experience its flavor to the fullest! Yum!"
--Rachel Veyera, 6/25/04

"The chocolate birds nests are to die for -- crunchy, chocolately, I couldn't eat just one. I never would have guessed about the noodles."
--Christy Marshuetz, 6/25/04
