ABOUT

The Baker

Jennifer DiMase began baking for friends and family in 2001. Before then, she had to ask her Mom what to do to bring the pasta water to a boil. In 2005, Jennifer spent several months assisting in the pastry kitchen at Radius restaurant in Boston, where she acquired dozens of new skills, including super speedy egg cracking and mass vanilla bean scraping, as well as many a vaulable lesson, such as the order in which ingredients can be incorpated into batter, and that oven doors can get really, really hot. Now she bakes everything from cakes and cheesecakes to pies and tarts. She loves to use birthdays and holidays as an excuse to try new desserts out on a willing audience!

The Artist

Jennifer DiMase started drawing cartoons at a young age, encouraged by classes she took at the Rhode Island School of Design and inspired by her favorite characters at the time, Garfield and Snoopy. In high school, a few of her toons were printed in the reader contribution pages of the Providence Journal, and in college, Jennifer's comic strips appeared twice a week in the campus newspaper. She proceeded to publish and sell a compilation of these cartoons at the end of her senior year, and since then, has continued to produce 'funnies' for family and friends for holidays, greeting cards, business projects, manuscripts, and, of course, just for fun!
